Praxis EMR Software

Praxis advertises itself as an EMR software solution that does not work from templates, but rather "learns" from all your previous cases through its "Concept Processor Solution" which identifies cases as either identical to ones you've had before, similar to ones you have had before, or completely different than cases you have had before. Praxis EMR places itself solidly in the corner of medical practices and their clinical needs and bottom line.

For identical and similar cases, it generates documentation like the ones you have had previously, and allows the physician to customize his or her documentation. For cases that substantially different from what you have dealt with before, it prompts you to build the all new documentation.

Praxis prides itself on being an "EMR" rather than an "EHR". They explain on their web site that an EHR is geared towards the interests of the whole industry – insurance, government regulators, and so on. Praxis EMR, they claim, is geared towards the best interests of the doctors and other medical providers.

Praxis is not a provider of medical billing software, but it claims to partner seamlessly with many billing packages. They say they will work with your medical billing provider to integrate their services, at no charge to you, the practitioner. Praxis claims to partner with the leading medical billing software providers, and will help you select a new one if you are not happy with the software of medical billing service you currently have.

Praxis EMR is geared toward working with many medical specialties: Internal and Sleep Meidcine, Otolaryngology, Dermasurgery and Mohs surgery, Surgical Dermatology, Endocrinology, General Surgery, Pain Management, Nephrology, Urology, Family Practice, Podiatry, and Gastroenterology.
