Excerpt from American Contractor Review

Designed with built-in flexibility, The American Contractor user-base runs the full gamut of general contractors, subcontractors, and service contractors. The program fits the business needs of small to medium sized companies.

Written in Microsoft Visual FoxPro, and programmed with hundreds of user-definable fields, this program allows the tracking, reporting, and sorting of data to fit the business needs of all types of contractors. With twenty years of continuous development — specifically for the construction and service trades — the program includes hundreds of system reports and all modules are fully integrated. It is one of the few program packages available that has both construction contractor features, as well as robust features for the service contractor.

The heart and soul of the program is the Command Center which provides fast access to reports, lists, graphs, and tasks for each user. Drill-down to transaction detail is available on most reports in the Command Center.

Honoring security settings, each user can choose what reports, tasks, etc., they want to add to their Command Center. The Company Command Center is primarily accounting driven, where the Project Manager Command Center displays jobrelated items, such as accounts payable, receivable, subcontracts, and purchase orders related to each project manager’s jobs. The Service Manager Command Center displays all items related to work orders and locations.
