CompuGroup Medical is the name of the company that acquired the electronic medical records product previously known as Soft-Aid. CompuGroup Medical is a European-based e-health data company. It offers medical software solutions of all kinds for medical practices and larger medical organizations all over the world.
For small practices (1-5 physicians) it offers Alteer Office 8.0 is a web-based SAAS integrated EHR /PM tool. It is ONC-ATB Certified for Meaningful Use when correctly and fully implemented. As an EHR it supports physician routines and preferences for patient encounters and documentation, including Wolter Kluwers content (Wolter Kluwers is a Netherlands-based information technology company). It includes auto-eligibility checking, claims processing,
It also offers specialty templates for Family Practice, Ob/Gyn, Internal, Pediatrics and Orthopedics & Physical Therapy and includes additional Wolter Kluwers specialty templates which can really be used for any other medical specialty; data in templates is automatically coded with Standard nomenclature (SNOMED CT, ICD-9) for accuracy and increased productivity
Its larger EHR equivalent product for medium-to-large practices, called NetPractice EHRWeb and NetPractice EHR PM which comes with additional Practice management tools for claims scrubbing and bill collection.
CompuGroup also has many other component systems that can be used in tandem with their EHR and PM systems, or as separate components:
- eMedix Reimbursement Services, -- a HIPAA-approved clearinghouse program for Reimbursement Services, which prides itself on excellent customer service, reporting, and electronic connection to so many payer systems.
- LabDAQ Laboratory and Information System, which automates data storage, reporting, security and history for Lab results and can export directory to Electronic Health Record systems. And connects directly to a variety of National and Regional Reference Libraries. It can incorporate lab results as structured data that supports meeting Meaningful Use requirements.
- Practice-Patient Portal and e-Services, a web-based way for practices and patients to connect securely to online services and information, and of course, to reach each other from anywhere.
