Eclipse is designed for medium to large contractors of nearly all types. It is especially well suited for heavy construction, like earthwork, excavating and road building, but the system is also used by general contractors, service contractors, and specialty contractors, including the electrical, teledata and HVAC/mechanical trades. This solution supports international companies with multi-lingual, multi-currency and multi-company needs, offering an unlimited number of companies and divisions. Eclipse is available in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Italian. In addition, it features American, Canadian, and Mexican payroll.

Explorer Software has announced the release of its Business Analytics module for the company’s Shafers service management software. The Analytics software will allow users to drill down into data and create ad-hoc reports, charts, and other Graphic presentations, controlled from an easy to use Dashboard. The Business Analytics solution has been in use for a few years for Eclipse, Explorer’s construction software solution, but has now been adapted to work with the Shafer management solution, too.
Explorer Software just announced that its parent company will have a new name. The parent company was formerly known as Explorer Software Group, and will now be known as the JDM Technology Group.
JDM Technology Group, which was formerly known as Explorer Software Group, was created in August of 2014. It includes four companies: Explorer Software, CSSP Construction Software, Computer Guidance Corporation, and RedSky IT.
The new name tries to eliminates any confusion between the umbrella group and its subsidiary, Explorer Software. The business operations of these companies will not change as a result of the new name.
