With over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, Recently Maxwell Systems, Inc. repackaged its NGS product as The Maxwell Management Suite (current Vers 6.0). The latest functionality added to the software has expanded this robust accounting package into a comprehensive information management tool.

The Maxwell Management Suite allows users to proactively manage their business from one screen with Maxwell’s Business Center. The Business Center makes available all business metrics including: Job Cost, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Service Management, Inventory, Subcontracts, Purchase Orders, Scanned Images, Construction Documents, and more.

A strong point of the Maxwell Management Suite is its ability to handle multi-company and intercompany processing. It is one of the few systems that allow you to post transactions to multiple companies and handle inter-company transactions in a single step. Integration between modules, along with accounting controls, is excellent. Because of its strong payroll, inventory and service functionality, The Maxwell Management Suite is a good fit for trade contractors (particularly mechanical and electrical) with over $2 million in sales volume. It is also well suited for specialty and highway/heavy contractors that need equipment maintenance capabilities and/or material handling requirements, such as asphalt. Functionality is strong in this product. Because of all of the features; users will probably require training and implementation services not necessarily needed for less sophisticated systems. Smaller contractors may find that the product has an overwhelming number of features.
