Penta construction software is an integrated enterprise system that combines construction management, service management, accounting, project management, mobility and enterprise content management into a single solution. Penta serves diverse medium to large AEC firms with specialized labor trades and project management services that span multiple disciplines, geographical locations and legal entities. The minimum-sized candidate for Penta is typically $50M+ in revenues, although the company's client list does include some smaller companies.
Penta's multi-company, multi-location and inter-company tools allow different divisions to operate with independent business rules, while also providing for consolidated reporting and visibility. The application enables users to monitor employee productivity, employee utilization and billability, and standard reports for both revenue and cost-based job management are included. Penta construction Project Management software combines Communications, Tasks, Documents, Costs and Reports into one interface, and integrated XML publishing streamlines document creation. Penta also offers self-service, browser-based applications, such as eTimesheets and eExpense. For specialty contractors performing service, maintenance and work orders, Penta combines customer equipment information; maintenance contracts; call taking and dispatching; invoicing and billing; and management reporting with customer, vendor and employee job costing information. Currently Penta only offers Oracle as its database platform. However, the company will be offering a SQL version in the near future.
