Dexter + Chaney's 10th Annual Users'
Conference Attracts Nearly 500 to Seattle for Learning, Networking,
Fun
SEATTLE, WA May 17, 2006: Dexter
+ Chaney's 10 th annual users' conference attracted nearly 500
customers to Seattle recently for a three-day forum on its Forefront ® Construction
Suite construction management and accounting software. A total
of 474 Forefront users-representing 225 unique companies from
42 states-combined learning and networking at the Bell Harbor
International Conference Center on the Seattle waterfront. They
also enjoyed great food and fun in one of America 's favorite
cities.
Users took advantage of networking
opportunities with their fellow Forefront users and Dexter
+ Chaney staff and learned new and better ways to manage their
construction companies using Forefront. Attendees gave Dexter
+ Chaney their tips and requests about desired features and
benefits for future versions of Forefront-and
affirmed Dexter + Chaney's migration of Forefront Version 12
to the SQL Server database platform.
"We're very excited about the number of users who attended the
conference-it was one of our largest ever," said John Chaney,
Dexter + Chaney co-founder and president. "The Seattle weather
cooperated, too.
"Plus, our customers confirmed the
benefits of migrating to SQL Server in the latest version of
Forefront, in terms of reliability, scalability and new features
that we're able to add. The customers are very excited about
SQL Server and made it very clear to us that Dexter + Chaney's
investment in SQL was well worth it."
Chaney noted that SQL Server is included in customers' standard
annual upgrade.
Chaney also lauded customers for
sharing their ideas, suggestions and requests with Dexter +
Chaney personnel. "We received a lot
of exciting ideas from the customer 'roundtable' sessions," said
Chaney. "That's a key benefit to us and to our customers: we
have the opportunity to learn about their business issues directly
from them, which helps us enhance Forefront for their advantage.
Our users also learn from each other."
The conference offered more than
50 sessions devoted to individual Forefront modules and capabilities.
The most popular were "50
Things You Didn't Know Forefront Could Do," "Forefront and Microsoft
Office-Pulling It All Together" and "Version 12 New Features."
Attendees also enjoyed dinner and entertainment at Seattle 's
Museum of Flight , which celebrates the region's and nation's
aeronautical heritage, and Teatro ZinZanni, a three-hour whirlwind
of cirque, comedy and cabaret.
More than 1,000 construction companies
throughout the United States use Dexter + Chaney's Forefront Ò Construction
Suite. Forefront Construction Suite includes 30 integrated modules
that handle project management, construction accounting, service
management, human resources, document imaging, remote connectivity
and data sharing for construction companies of all types. Companies
that use Forefront report they have improved profitability and
have grown their businesses more than 300 percent without adding
accounting staff.
