Software Rating from CPA Magazine, for 2nd Consecutive Year
Unique features and
construction-specific functionality earn high marks for helping
contractors increase productivity and profitability.
June 23, 2006. Cleveland - For
Immediate Release : FOUNDATION® for Windows ®construction
accounting system, a product of Foundation Software Inc., was
chosen as one of the Top 5 Construction Accounting applications
by CPA Magazine, for the second year in a row.
According to CPA Magazine, a widely-respected
publication for accounting professionals, Foundation Software "improved an already
powerful accounting application" with such unique features as
the new, patent-pending CPA Audit/Review Module and a new Document
Control Module.
The new CPA Audit Review Module, which is part of the F OUNDATION
base system and free to all clients, was created to streamline
the audit/review process between construction firms and their
independent accounting firms. Using a separate audit/review console,
the module generates such reports as A/P Materiality, A/R Materiality,
General Ledger To Job Cost Tie Out, Cash Flow by Job, Aging by
Job, General Ledger Materiality, Gain/Fade, Over/Under Billing,
Work in Progress, Overhead Allocation, Actual Billing and other
topics relevant to an auditor's review. The module, along with
a step-by-step CPA Audit/Review Guide, is also available free
of charge to any accounting firm whose clients use F OUNDATION
for Windows.
CPA Magazine praised the release
of yet another important F OUNDATION addition: the new Document
Control module. Using the power and security of Microsoft ® SQL database, the Document
Control module provides a centralized repository for such documents
as RFIs, RFPs, transmittals, submittals, punch lists, field logs,
and more, "enabling users to locate the desired information based
on date, receipt, sender or topic."
In addition to these new modules,
CPA Magazine applauded FOUNDATION for other valuable features,
including "seamless transfer of
data among modules and other widely used applications, which
eases implementation and integration concerns," said reviewer
Richard Buse, CPA. He also gave high marks to FOUNDATION 's
user-defined default settings, which promote further efficiency
and reduce data entry errors "and enable administrators to configure
FOUNDATION functions to fit specific needs."
