can find documents instantly in Dexter + Chaney's Forefront ® Construction
Suite construction management and accounting software, using
a search capability in its Document Imaging module.
Users perform a "Google-like" search to locate individual
documents in their entire Forefront file system by entering
any word or group of words. Forefront instantly finds those
words, lists each document that contains them, and provides
a link to open each one. Every document in the Forefront database
is automatically "read;" all text is indexed similar to the
method deployed by Google and other search engines to read
and index context on the Internet.
Forefront Document Imaging-integrated with accounting, job
costing, and even project management software-incorporates
documents electronically into the construction company's workflow.
It addresses a typically painful problem for construction companies:
giving management, operations and the financial department
the fast access they need to important documents like AP invoices,
