Dexter + Chaney Named a Finalist in Electrical
Contracting Products' 'INNOVATION Awards' Competition
SEATTLE , September 6, 2006: Dexter
+ Chaney has been chosen as a finalist in the 2006 INNOVATION
Awards competition sponsored by Electrical Contracting Products .
The competition "recognizes outstanding companies whose products
or services have best responded to electrical contractors' market
challenges by offering creative and innovative ideas," according
to the magazine. Dexter + Chaney won an INNOVATION Award for
its Forefront® Construction Suite software in the inaugural
2005 competition.
Divided into 16 product categories,
the 2006 INNOVATION Awards are judged by a panel of professional
electrical contractors who will evaluate each of the product
finalists on six criteria: innovation, ease of use, cost effectiveness,
quality contribution, maintainability and productivity improvements.
The magazine says that "finalists for this year's event include some of the most
influential companies serving the $82 billion electrical contracting
market." Award winners will be announced in early October.
"Based on the quality of entries, this year's competition promises
to be even tougher than last year's inaugural awards program," said
Brian Taylor, editor of Electrical Contracting Products . "Every
one of the finalists should be commended for their efforts to
improve the value and effectiveness of products created for our
nation's electrical contractors."
