DEXTER + CHANEY NAMED TO ‘SOFTWARE 500’ RANKING SEATTLE, December 5, 2007: Dexter + Chaney www.dexterchaney.com),developer of Spectrum™ Construction Software employed by construction companies throughout the United States, has earned another recognition for the company’s size. Dexter + Chaney placed 360th in the “Software 500” ranking by Software Magazine of the world’s largest software and services providers, with 2006 revenues of $15.0 million. It marked the fourth straight year that Dexter + Chaney made the list. Earlier this year, Dexter + Chaney was named to Washington CEO Magazine’s “High Tech 50” ranking of Washington State’s largest technology firms and the Puget Sound Business Journal’s listing of the biggest software firms in the Puget Sound region. SOFTWARE 500 Suppliers are not ranked on their total corporate revenue, since many have other lines of business, such as hardware. The financial information was gathered by a survey prepared by King Content Co. and posted at www.Softwaremag.com, as well as from public documents. “The Software 500 helps CIOs, senior IT managers and IT staff create a short list of business partners,” said John P. Desmond, editor of Software Magazine and Softwaremag.com. “It is a quick reference of vendor viability. That is content of value.” John Chaney, Dexter + Chaney co-founder and president, explained that the Software 500 and other rankings underscore Spectrum’s acceptance in the construction marketplace. “Construction companies use Spectrum to manage more than $21.6 billion in construction projects annually,” Chaney noted. “That figure would place Dexter + Chaney clients 108th on the Fortune 500 ranking of America’s largest corporations—ahead of McDonald’s, Goodyear and Coca Cola.” He added that, altogether, Dexter + Chaney customers process more than 12 million checks to employees and suppliers and employ more than 112,800 people.
