Dexter + Chaney Makes Deloitte’s ‘Washington State Technology Fast 50’ Ranking For 10th Time In 12 Years

SEATTLE, October 29, 2008: Dexter + Chaney (www.dexterchaney.com), developer of Spectrum® Construction Software employed by construction companies throughout the United States, has made another ranking for the company’s growth rate. Dexter + Chaney placed 42nd in Deloitte’s annual “Washington State Technology Fast 50” listing of the state’s high-tech companies—the 10th time in 12 years that the company has made the list.

Companies were selected based on percentage revenue growth over five years from 2003 to 2007. To be considered for the list, companies must have had operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 2003 and at least $5 million in 2007; be headquartered in Washington state; owned proprietary technology or proprietary intellectual property that contributed to a significant portion of its operating revenues or devoted a significant portion of revenues to the research and development of technology.

Dexter + Chaney recorded 64.69 percent revenue growth from 2003 through 2007. The company regularly makes national and local trade and business rankings, based on the company’s size or growth rate.

“Our mantra at Dexter + Chaney is ‘helping construction companies grow,’” said John Chaney, Dexter + Chaney president and co-founder. “That’s foremost in our minds when we develop products and offer services to meet our clients’ constantly changing needs. In turn, that client-centered focus is the key reason behind our company’s growth.”

Added Pete Shimer, office managing partner of the Seattle office of Deloitte: “The Deloitte Washington State Technology Fast 50 companies have shown the strength, vision and tenacity to succeed in today’s very competitive technology environment. We applaud the success of Dexter + Chaney and acknowledge it as one of the very few to accomplish such a fast growth rate over the past five years.”
